Excluded Services

Services and products excluded from the TexHealth Central Texas Plan coverage include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Non-medically necessary services
• Services received outside the TexHealth Central Texas Plan provider
• Network (Except out-of-area Emergency Care)
• Bariatric or other weight loss surgery
• Alternative or complementary care, such as acupuncture, acupressure,
• Reflexology, therapeutic massage, etc.
• Chiropractic
• Cosmetic surgery or procedures
• Dental or orthodontic care, including treatment for temporomandibular
• Joint dysfunction (TMJ)
• Elective Abortions
• Erectile Dysfunction treatment or medications
• End-of-life palliative care, such as Hospice
• Hearing aids
• Implants
• Infertility treatment or medication
• Laser vision improvement surgery
• Neonatal care
• Nursing home or custodial care
• Prosthetics
• Reversal of voluntary sterilization
• Vision Services, Optometric
• Transsexual surgery
• Transplants
• Experimental treatment or medication
• Services in excess of plan limits
